In the ever growing modern world that we currently live in, the current generation can no longer afford the need to collaborate with others. Given the limited time we have each day, everyone has to increase their productivity to reach their work-oriented goals. With that in mind, Microsoft has announced its Office 2016 to usher in a new age of productivity during work.
Responding to the demand for productivity tools to work better and smarter, Microsoft positions itself to push the boundaries to transform people and their industries by proving that these productivity trends and Microsoft’s Office solutions are highly relevant to people today. The all-new Office 2016 comes with modern versions of the Office desktop apps for Windows, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Project Visio and Access.

Office is built to cut through today’s working challenges and complexities and help you get things done quickly,” said Bruce Howe, General Manager, Consumer Channel Group, Microsoft Malaysia.
Demonstrating Office 2016 at the launch at Crave Café @ Oasis Square, Howe noted that collaboration is the way to get things done in the workplace, but the process itself can be complex and frustrating.
“Office 2016 encapsulates our ambition of taking the work out of working together, and today we are pleased to make available a set of experiences that will help people and businesses of all sizes better work together, work easier and worry less.”
Live co-authoring made readily available even through OneDrive.
The most notable feature present would be the co-authoring function which allows users to see others’ edits as they them in Word, PowerPoint and OneNote. Similar to Google Docs, users are able to share documents and presentations to be edited in real time even from across countries. Additionally, the Skype in-app integration is now available in rich client apps, allowing users to make use of instant messaging function, screen share, talk or video chat right in their documents.
Microsoft Office 2016 is available in 40 different languages and require at least Windows 7 and above. Office 365 subscribers can choose to download the new Office 2016 apps starting this month as part of their subscription. Estimated retail pricing for Office 365 Personal is at RM219.99, and Office 365 Home at RM299.99 per year. Office as a one-time purchase is also available for both PCs and Macs, with Office Home & Business 2016 priced at RM1,099; while Office Home & Student 2016 is priced RM449.99.
